Aging Out Foster Care Kids
Currently there are approximately 19,000 children in foster care in Florida. As they age out of care many of these "diamonds in the rough" have great potential in the manufacturing arena. They only need a "hand up" for the knowledge and skills for the first opportunity at a successful career.
The Clifford J. Almy Career Center is actively working to establish partnerships with local agencies to provide these young adults with a valuable opportunity to learn and refine their skills to create their own path into the manufacturing world.
Summer Career Program
The Clifford J. Almy Summer Career Program offers the graduating seniors the ability to realize their manufacturing career goal. The Summer Career Program prepares these young adults for internship with local companies after graduation. This unique program will open doors and provide a new avenue of a skilled workforce in our local communities. These young adults will have the knowledge and skills transfered from the classroom and hands-on training to an apprenticeship program.
It will be time well spent learning and earning for their future.

The Clifford J. Almy Career Center does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, homelessness, immigration or veteran status at our Career Center and activities, including admission to or employment in such program or activity.

The ultimate goal is to provide a transition to a full-time career. The Clifford J.
