Who is Clifford J. Almy?
The Clifford J. Almy Career Center was conceived out of the love and admiration of my father. A man from a simple background was ability to create something from what he had available to him. He was an inventor, handyman, engineer, machinist, carpenter, plumber, electrician, etc. With those self-taught skills he was able to create a great life for our family.
Clifford J. Almy instilled in me the drive to succeed. To never give up and to look at every day “problems” as challenges to be solved. There is a solution to everything if you put your mind to it. With his eye for detail and the ability to see a finished product before the task had ever started, he showed me the wonders of what could be.
As the daughter of Clifford J. Almy this school is designed to help others “see the wonders of what could be” for themselves. To offer solutions to their challenges of creating a great life for themselves and their families. As an answer to the burning question of "where has all the talent gone?" from our local manufacturing companies, The Clifford J. Almy Career Center became my dream. To invest in transferable skills training to the underskilled communities that will promote a positive economic development to our local communities.

Our mission
The Clifford J. Almy Career Center will work with the underskilled Tampa Bay workforce to build their knowledge and partner them with local company in our area to make a stronger community.
Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of our local companies and companies moving to the Tampa Bay area. This sets our students on a path of success and growth in careers to make or comunity stronger.
